The Best $5.00 I Have Ever Spent

A good find always comes when you least expect it. While running errands, my kiddo had to take a potty break and Savors (a thrift shop) was the closest shop with a potty. As we were headed out, I spotted the ugliest black, wicker, chair collecting dust and my eyes lit up with excitement. I turned that $5.00 piece of trash into an outdoor chair. By using a can of Rust-Oleum's "Lagoon" spray paint and a seat cushion I had packed away, I gave that chair new life.

Gray is the new Brown

Goodbye brown, hello gray! If you haven't already noticed gray is the new brown in interior and fashion design. In fact, my boring beige/brown walls got a nice coat of gray and what a difference it made! Embrace gray, it's not always a drab and depressing color. It makes other colors pop! Paint you living room gray and add pops of coral and you will find yourself falling in love with rainy days. Just one word of advice: When picking a gray, find out what the undertone color is, because your new gray room may turn purple.
